Discover Your True North

The Anada offers a unique, holistic approach that addresses the needs of children and adolscents who have emotional and/or behavioral difficulties, including: ADHD, conduct disorders and social issues with peers or authority. The Anada focuses on building skills, confidence, friendships and a committment to the community, while addressing each individual child's needs. We focus on the mind, body and spirit of the whole child.

Build Skills

At The Anada we encourage youth to learn more about themselves though creative exploration. Though the use of music, art, play, gardening, animal care, community involvement,  coaching and ongoing assessments, each person is encouraged to discover additional innate qualities that define them as individuals. This exposure will coach kids how to be productive, connect with others and how to navigate in a complex world.

"Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes along. ... You cannot help but learn more as you take the world into your hands."

Build Confidence

It is important for each one of us to have healthy self-confidence. This enables us to view any obstacle as an opportunity for growth. At The Anada, confidence is our kid's passport to lifetime mental health and social happiness. Though exposure to new activities that push each person to a new limit with the support of peers and mentors, each person will recognize new aspects of who they are and what they can achieve.

"A person looks in the mirror and likes the person he sees. He looks inside himself and is comfortable with the person he is.  He must think of this self as being someone who can make things happen and who is worthy of love."

Build Friendships

Friendships are the essence of a healthy development.  Friendships are transcendent of healthy families that sustain social relationships and positive contributions to community life. Through friendships we learn more about who we are and what our connection is with the universal whole.

Anais Nin put it beautifully when she said, "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

Build Community

Community involvement refers to activities that increase knowledge of the community and how to give back to the community while experiencing a sense of connection to it. Through involvement with local farmers, animal shelters, giving time to those who are in need and keeping the earth clean, the Anada will expose each person to experiences, along with concrete knowledge of the community and its resources. A holistic approach is critical for promoting healthy development and learning.

"You partner an idea with effort and you have magic."
